CONSECRATION OF SACRED HEART CHAPEL, SAINT BENEDICT'S MONASTERY, ST. JOSEPH, MN " 1943
The first triple procession around the exterior of the chapel was followed by another three-fold procession within the chapel as the bishop sprinkled the interior walls and anointed the door. The twelve crosses placed on pilasters on the interior walls were also anointed. By each of these crosses a candle was then kept lit for the day -- this practice is continued on each anniversary of the consecration and on special feasts. ______ SBMA
