Sister Marianne Pomerleau, former teacher of French It the College of Saint Benedict, died on November; after an illness following a stroke, which she suffered in Marcl1.

In fall of 19(11 Sister Marianne gave her time to .fD'Iall chi1dren in St. Jorepn's Elementary School. These she taught French lovingly, while she tutored othe.s and gave special Saturday morning classes fOf out-of-townm. Sister tnfoYed children, and she talked French to them all, including little babies who somehow always respmdod to the chann of her French cooing.
Many alumnae will remember Sister Marianne', preoccupation with clothing the naked, when she Ofganized a mission group to sew clothing fOl' OtrUt'. poor in the missions.
